Melafix

Melafix (Melafix) - Tea tree oil preparation. It has a bactericidal, regenerating, wound healing property. It is used to heal wounds and restore fins as a result of diseases or skirmishes with other fish.

The use of the drug Melafix does not harm biological filters in aquariums with salt and fresh water. It does not color water, does not leave spots on aquarium scenery and silicone glue (sealant), does not affect the chemical indicators of water. Melafix is absolutely harmless for living aquarium plants. Before use, it's good to cheer. To achieve a better result, activated carbon should be removed from the aquarium filters for the duration of treatment. During use, it is possible to form a small foam, which is absolutely harmless.

To treat wounds and restore fins: - add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) for every 40 liters of aquarium water. Introduce the drug daily for 7 days, on the eighth day replace 25% of the water in the aquarium. If necessary, treatment can be continued. During transplants, planting of new fish and during transportation: - add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) for every 40 liters of aquarium water. Repeat administration of the drug for three days.

If there are difficulties in acquiring the drug, then self-manufacture according to the following recipe is possible:

For 900 ml of water (distilled), 75 g of salt (sea, without additives), and 10 ml of tea tree oil. The salt and oil are mixed in one container until the oil is absorbed into the salt. Shake well, until a uniform mass is obtained. Then water is added. Shake well again until the salt is completely dissolved. We keep it in the fridge.
